Governor Of Kaltara Harvests Rice Together, Momentum To Maintain Food Security And Regional Inflation
BULUNGAN Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal A. Paliwang participated in the Joint Rice Harvest activities in the context of the National Food Inflation Control Movement (GNPIP) in the Manunggal Gapokan Rice Field, Panca Agung Village, Tanjung Palas Utara District, Bulungan Regency.
Governor Zainal expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the head of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office of Kaltara Province, the farmer groups of Panca Agung Village and the Agriculture Service of Bulungan Regency who contributed to inflation control in Kaltara province.
"Farming in a broad sense has become one of the main pillars in human life and this sector is not only a food support but also plays a role in supporting the economy in maintaining social resilience," said Governor Zainal, Tuesday, February 11.
Zainal feels very happy to bring the farmers in Kaltara excited to develop agriculture using the MA-11 organic fertilizer. In addition, supported by the formation of millennial farmers, it has started to run.
"In the context of controlling inflation, several efforts are made to maintain food security, including through cooperation between regions, market operations programs, and collaboration in the implementation of the national movement to control food inflation at the provincial and city levels," he said.
He hopes that joint harvest activities in addition to being a symbol of food products will also be a momentum to further strengthen coordination and collaboration in maintaining food security in Kaltara.
The Provincial Government of North Kalimantan is committed to continuing to support and develop various programs aimed at increasing food production, expanding market access for farmers and ensuring stable prices for the community.
"Let's continue to work together, innovate in maintaining food security and suppressing inflation in the regions. By working hard, synergy and strong commitment, I believe we can create North Kalimantan which is more prosperous, independent in the food sector," he said.
At that moment Governor Zainal also symbolically handed over agricultural equipment assistance such as werder machines, appo machines, and cultivators to the Panca Agung Village farmer group which was continued together to harvest rice in the fields.
