Four Flights At Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport Are Again Disturbed Due To Bad Weather

A total of four flights at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, were again disrupted due to bad weather.

"There are four flights affected by extreme weather with details of one domestic flight delay, two domestic flight diverts, and two domestic go around flight impacts from extreme weather that occurred in the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport area," said General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, Tuesday, February 11.

The flight that experienced flight delays was Wings Air on the Denpasar-Lombok route.

Meanwhile, the flight that experienced a diversion flight was Lion Air, the Semarang route, which was supposed to land in Denpasar, was diverted to Surabaya.

In addition, one charter flight on the Bundi-Denpasar route was diverted to land in Lombok. Then for flights that are going around is Air Asia with the Jakarta-Denpasar route.

Ngurah Rai Airport has coordinated with all relevant airlines and stakeholders to ensure flight operations remain safe.

"We appeal to all users of the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport service to arrive early before the scheduled departure. And always coordinate with airlines to find out updates on their flight schedules related to the extreme weather that hit Bali Island," he said.

Previously, due to extreme weather on the island of Bali, 11 flights experienced delays, cancellations, and failed to land due to bad weather on Monday, February 10.
