Agustiani Tio Sues KPK Investigator Rossa To Bogor District Court, Asks For Compensation Of IDR 2.5 Billion

JAKARTA - The former commissioner of Bawaslu, Agustiani Tio Fridelina, has sued the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator, Rossa Purbo Bekti, on a civil basis at the Bogor Class IA District Court.

The lawsuit was registered by a team of attorneys led by Army Mulyanto who was accompanied by Agustiani Tio's husband, Adrina Wilde.

"So today I and my colleagues representing Mrs. Agustina Tio Friderina registered a lawsuit against the law against Brother Rossa Purbo Bekti. It was registered," Army told reporters, Tuesday, February 11.

The civil lawsuit was filed because Agustiani Tio was offered legal gratification by Rossa Purbo Bekti when he was a witness at the KPK.

In addition, said Army, his client also received acts of intimidation during the examination process

"The plaintiff experienced or Mrs. Tio experienced a form of legal gratification and also intimidation carried out by the defendant, yes, this is Mr. Rossa Purbo Bekti. Among other things, Mr. Rossa ordered Mrs. Tio to replace her attorney because at that time, the attorney who accompanied her was from PD Perjuangan cadres, meaning that I and my colleagues were asked to be replaced because I was indeed a cadre from the PD-P Party," he said.

"Pak Rossa carried out an act of intimidation by hitting the table during an examination in the investigation room," continued the Army.

Even the KPK investigator also took pressure verbally. On that basis, it was decided to file a lawsuit.

"Then the next one is Pak Rossa's statement to Mrs. Tio who said that 'we'll see later who is stronger, okay, and the last one is, Mrs. Tio was forced by Mr. Rossa to admit to receiving compensation by asking questions, how much sister can Hasto Kristiyanto get," he said.

In his lawsuit, Agustiani Tio also demanded compensation from Rossa Purbo Bekti. The value reaches IDR 2.5 billion.

"We are serious about filing this lawsuit on the basis that was meant earlier and demanding the value of compensation to Mr. Rosa Purbo Bekti worth or Rp. 2.5 billion against Mrs. Tio," said the Army.

It is known that Agustiani is currently being banned by the KPK. As a result, the woman who was born in Jakarta could not undergo medical treatment in China for cancer.

"That is a form of this civil lawsuit and what is certain for Mrs. Tio is that the truth must be revealed, because this is talking about justice, especially Mrs. Tio's condition today, which we both pray for so that Mrs. Tio can recover quickly," said Army.

Meanwhile, Adriel said his wife, Agustiani Tio, was hit when she received intimidation from Rossa Purbo Bekti when she was examined as a witness.

"Yes, after receiving the pressure, it would be very sad, let alone my wife and even my children being hit," he said at the Bogor Class IA District Court, Tuesday.

Adriel said the medical healing step was hampered and becoming increasingly difficult when Agustiani Tio received pressure from Rossa Purbo Bekti.

"Because, what we should be able to do in order to heal my wife or the mother of my children, yes, is hampered by things that should have nothing to do with it," said Adrial.
