3 Fishermen Bring Kopra Using Lost Longboats In Tual Maluku City Found Selamat
The SAR team managed to find three fishermen from Toyando Island, Tual City, Maluku in a safe condition after being reported missing contact.
The three Ardiriyadi Raharng (48), Aminudin Kalean (34), and Datuk Kalean (34), lost contact while using a long boat (longboat) departing from Toyando Island to Tual City.
"They were found by the joint SAR team today at around 01.30 WIT in the morning," said Head of the Ambon Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas), Muhammad Arafah in Ambon, Tuesday, February 11, confiscated by Antara.
According to Arafah, the family previously reported that the three fishermen were missing to the Tual SAR Post. The three of them use longboats loaded with kopra and wood.
"The three fishermen departed from Toyando Island at around 07.00 WIT and are planned to arrive in Tual City at 10.00 WIT," he said.
However, until the evening, the three fishermen did not arrive in Tual City.
At 19.50 WIT, the Tual SAR Post and joint elements were deployed using an Inflatable Boat Rigit (RGB) to carry out the search for victims.
"Alhamdulillah, the search for the three victims went smoothly. The victims were found by the Joint SAR Team with safe conditions at around 01.30 WIT in the morning around the waters of Tual City," he said.
The first two fishermen were evacuated by the local community to Sitniohoi Village, while another fisherman was evacuated by the Joint SAR Team to Tual City to be handed over to his family.
