Trapped In Floods, 7 Foreign Tourists In Sanur Evacuated By Karet Boat

DENPASAR - Floods hit the area of Jalan Bumi Ayu, Sanur Village, South Denpasar District, Denpasar City, due to heavy rains.

Head of the Denpasar City Disaster Management Operations Control Center, I Made Antara, said 7 foreign tourists staying at villas on Jalan Bumi Ayu, Sanur, were evacuated.

"It is true that they stayed at the villa there, seven tourists were evacuated. Earlier, the information was from the villa or the community there that the guests wanted to check out. So we immediately moved there," said Made Antara, Tuesday, February 11.

The foreign tourists were evacuated at around 09.29 WITA using a rubber boat.

"So foreign tourists are in safe condition, there are no problems, so everyone is safe," he added.

Floods around 30 cm-40 cm inundated almost one area.

Joint officers used suction engines to deal with the flood.
