Budget Efficiency From The Government Should Not Be Done Gegabah, Poor People

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus hopes that the government's budget efficiency will not target policies that are in contact with the interests of the community.

"Of course I hope that this cut is really considered wisely and wisely, taking into account the impact on the condition of the people below," said Lasarus, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 11.

Lasarus reminded that the efficiency carried out rashly will have a domino effect on the people. For example, people's welfare has decreased, the number of unemployed so that the government's economic growth is not achieved.

"Then, for welfare, unemployment, economic growth and so on, the government targets economic growth to be quite high," he said.

The PDIP legislator emphasized that the APBN is not just talking about profit and loss. The state budget, he said, talked about triggers and shocked economic growth. Therefore, according to Lasarus, the state budget must be utilized as well as possible so that the community's economy moves.

Lasarus assessed that there were many impacts from the temporary suspension of budget discussions for infrastructure. Such as the cessation of construction sector activities.

"It means that there are a lot of people who don't work, people who don't work must create poverty, economic growth slows down, productivity becomes low, so the effect is everywhere," he said.

Lasarus also hopes that the government will overhaul sectors whose budgets are cut. According to him, the government still has two weeks to discuss.

"After that, we can go on with certainty that important sectors are in direct contact with the community, for example, if there are many labor-intensive people who employ the community directly, the program is felt directly, it must be awaited to this day, and other programs," concluded Lasarus.
