DKI DPRD Targets 25 Regional Regulations To Be Ratified This Year
JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Khoirudin said that the legislature and executives, in this case the DKI Provincial Government has a target to discuss to ratify 25 regional regulations (perda) during 2025.
Khoirudin explained that the DPRD projects 10 draft regional regulations for the executive and legislative proposals to be completed by 2025.
On the other hand, the Jakarta regional government must also issue a regional regulation to regulate each of the 15 special powers of the Jakarta Special Region (DKJ) after the transfer of the State Capital (IKN) this year.
"So, a total of 25 regional regulations must be completed this year (2025)," said Khoirudin in his statement, Tuesday, February 11.
He explained that the 15 special powers that will be outlined in the regional regulation need to be discussed immediately to prepare the central affairs governance which was handed over to Jakarta when the capital city officially moved to the archipelago.
These 15 matters that are the special authority of Jakarta are contained in Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta.
The 15 special powers of the DKJ include public work and spatial planning, public housing and residential areas, investment, transportation, the environment, industry, tourism and the creative economy, trade, education, health, culture, population control and family planning, population administration and civil registration, marine and fisheries, and employment.
According to Khoirudin, the DKI Provincial Government should immediately cooperate with university academics to consult in formulating the academic paper for the 15 regulations.
"So that the academic paper and the drafting of the regional regulation can be started. We will just have to finalize it in the DPRD," said Khoirudin.
Khoirudin emphasized that the regulation applies and can be followed up immediately with a deadline of two years after being promulgated. For this reason, the DKI Provincial Government needs to prepare all regulations so that their right to authority can be maintained.
