Social Minister Gus Ipul Ensures Distribution Of Social Assistance Is Not Affected By Budget Cuts

SURABAYA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul ensured that budget cuts at the Ministry of Social Affairs did not have an impact on the distribution of social assistance (bansos) for the poor.

"There is no problem, if the distribution of social assistance and all kinds of things has now been distributed, it is already in the distribution process. If it is necessary, the president will add, that is the president's direction," said Gus Ipul, Monday, February 10.

Gus Ipul added that the Ministry of Social Affairs is completing data collection on social assistance recipients. Data collection will continue to be updated every three months to adjust conditions in the field.

This is to monitor data on social assistance recipients that could change over time and conditions.

As is known, the Ministry of Social Affairs was hit by a budget cuts of IDR 1.3 trillion from a total budget ceiling of IDR 79.5 trillion. However, Gus Ipul ensured that this efficiency step did not have an impact on social assistance for the community.
