President Prabowo Ready To Welcome Turkish President Erdogan's State Visit
JAKARTA - Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said President Prabowo Subianto was preparing to welcome the state visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Emine Erdogan to Indonesia on 11-12 February 2025.
Yusuf said the state visit was an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Turkey.
"President Prabowo Subianto's reception of the state ceremony to President Erdogan will be held at the Bogor Presidential Palace on Wednesday, February 12, 2025," Yusuf said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 10.
After the welcoming procession was held, the two leaders were scheduled to hold bilateral meetings to discuss various cooperations that might be established between the two countries.
This collaboration is expected to be able to provide benefits for both parties and strengthen friendly relations between Indonesia and Turkey.
"It is hoped that this state visit can further strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey, as well as have a positive impact on the progress of the two countries," said Yusuf.
As part of a series of events, the state visit will be closed with a state lunch which will be held in the courtyard of the Bogor Presidential Palace.
Earlier on Friday (7/2), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Indonesia and Turkey would hold a High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
"High level SCCini is the highest regular bilateral forum between the two countries led directly by the head of state," said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rolliansyah "Roy" Soemirat.
All matters of common interest from the two countries will be immediately discussed at the meeting.
He also said the meeting, which was held for the first time, was expected to become a regular interaction platform between the two countries at the highest level.
