Toyota Holds Two Separate Recalls In The US, Involves A Total Of 147,000 Vehicles

Bad news came from Toyota. One of the leading automotive giants from Japan issued two withdrawal orders separately in the United States (US).

Launching from CarBuzz, Monday, February 10, the first order involved as many as 41,000 units of Toyota Camry model and two cars from luxury Lexus brands, including RX and NX. All three have potential problems with the rear middle seat belt during installation.

The models affected were Toyota Camry outputs 2025 and RX and NX in 2024-2025. The manufacturer said the belt woven section may have been damaged by production, potentially causing inadequate crossings during the accident.

The automaker has identified the issue, and is expected to be able to fully inform all affected owners in April 2025.

To deal with this problem, Toyota and Lexus dealers will make withdrawals for free, including checking seat belt nets and changing components when needed.

The second recall involved as many as 106,000 units of four-wheeled Toyota Tacoma driven due to fears of mud and dirt entering the rear brake channel to potentially damage this component.

The model affected is that the output of 2024-2025 has the potential to experience the thickness of the brake channel if mud or debris accumulates inside the wheel.

The problem only arises in trucks equipped with 17-inch wheels. Like other withdrawals, Toyota will notify consumers affected in April and make free withdrawals on its dealer network.

However, this recall does not include Tacoma variant Limited, TRD Sport, TRD Pro, and Trailhunter because it has an 18-inch rim. The PreRunner type is also not included in the recall list because it comes with a rear drive configuration.
