Maximum Solar Filling Volume Will Be Limited, BPH Will Issue New Rules
JAKARTA - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) will issue new regulations regarding the maximum volume of diesel fuel distribution (JBT).
Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati said this was based on the results of the collaboration between BPH Migas and the Gadjah Mada University Study Team (UGM) to ensure there was no subsidy leakage.
"We will issue a maximum volume limit for the distribution of fuel so that it is right on target," Erika said in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission XII of the DPR RI, Monday, February 10.
The diesel consumption provisions that have been in effect include 60 counters for four-wheeled vehicles, 80 liters for 6-wheeled vehicles and 200 liters for vehicles with more than 6-wheeled wheels.
"We have argued that too much accrene exceeds the capacity of the tengki and there is potential to be misused," continued Erika.

However, Erika did not specify the limit on the volume of the new diesel filling.
Furthermore, in order to strengthen surveillance activities, Erika said that her party had also developed a regulatory strengthening strategy by planning to calculate JBT and JBKP volumes based on the volume that came out of the gas station nozzle.
"We are currently reviewing the technical guidelines, just waiting for PMK from the Ministry of Finance, we will apply technical guidelines for the calculation," said Erika.
