The DPR Meeting And The Director General Of Taxes Regarding Collision Is Carried Out In A Closed Way

Commission XI of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR) RI held a closed meeting with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) regarding the regulation and supervision of the beliax system.

The meeting was held at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta on Monday, February 10.

Initially, the Chairman of Commission XI of the DPR, Mukhamad Misbakhun, opened a hearing with the Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Suryo Utomo, by asking whether this meeting would be held openly or behind closed doors.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, allow us to open a hearing meeting of Commission XI of the DPR RI with the Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, and I offer this to the Director General of Taxes, will this meeting be opened or closed? I will offer it to members later," he explained, Monday, February 10.

Meanwhile, Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo requested that the meeting be held behind closed doors if permitted by the leadership.

"If the chairperson of the meeting is allowed, it will be carried out behind closed doors," he asked.

Then, Misbakhun again asked the members of Commission XI of the DPR RI whether they agreed with this, and after obtaining approval that this meeting was held behind closed doors.

"So I declare this meeting closed to the public," he explained.

It is known that the members of Commission XI of the DPR who were physically present were about 15 people consisting of 6 factions. Meanwhile, the Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo Suryo was accompanied by the Expert Staff of the Minister of Finance for Tax Supervision Nufransa Wira Sakti, Expert Staff of the Minister of Finance for Tax Compliance Yon Arsal, and Expert Staff of the Minister of Finance for Regulation and Tax Law Enforcement Iwan Djuniardi.

Previously, the implementation of the beliax application, aka the core system of tax administration, had problems since it was officially launched on January 1, 2025.

Meanwhile, the interference with the implementation of the beliax has received a lot of attention from taxpayers and even state officials themselves. Even the Chairman of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto signed the office of the Directorate General of Taxes to directly check the implementation of the quintex.

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) revealed that it has made improvements to the implementation of the DGT beliax application such as registration, annual notification letter (SPT) and document management system.

"We inform you of the latest developments regarding the improvement efforts that have been made in the implementation of the DGT quintex," said Dwi Astuti, Director of Counseling, Services and Public Relations in his statement, Monday, January 13.

Dwi explained that the improvement includes business processes, including registration which include login failure, NPWP registration, NPWP registration of foreign nationals (WNA), one-time password (OTP) delivery, and Taxpayer profile updates including changes in the company's Responsibility data (PIC) and employees other than PIC.

Then the SPT which includes making tax invoices submitted in the form of .xml. As well as document management systems such as the process of signing tax invoices using the DGT Authorization Code or electronic certificates.

Dwi explained that until January 13, 2025 at 10.00 WIB, taxpayers who had succeeded in obtaining digital/electronic certificates to sign tax invoices amounted to 167,389.

Meanwhile, Dwi conveyed that there were 53,200 taxpayers who had succeeded in making tax invoices with 1,674,963 tax invoices issued and 670,424 tax invoices that had been validated or approved.

Dwi conveyed that DGT continues to make improvements in the hope that there will be no more problems faced by taxpayers in accessing the DGT beliax service.
