Toyota Releases GR Corolla Facelift At Home, Sold For IDR 600 Million

Toyota officially brought the Glolla facelift GR to the Japanese market and was introduced to its own home public at the Osaka Auto Messe 2025 event which was held on February 7-9.

Launching from Japanese media Car Watch, Monday, February 10, the manufacturer sells it in the RZ variant at prices ranging from 5.68 million yen (Rp610.2 million) for manual transmission of six accelerations of up to 5.98 million yen (Rp642.4 million) for automatic eight accelerations.

Positioned above GR Yaris, the medium hatchback measures dimensions with a length of 4,410 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,480 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,640 mm.

Compared to the previous version, this latest GR Corolla has several changes in its outer view, one of which is the front bumper to increase cooling efficiency.

In addition to the exterior, the manufacturer also revised parts of the suspension, including the addition of front and rear shock damping. Then, the installation point of the rear arm trailing arm was also raised in order to reduce the symptoms of the squat during acceleration and improve its control.

In addition to increasing pleasure in driving, one of the world's leading brands also presents Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 safety features as a standard for all variants, including Pre-Collition System with Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Road Sign Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Automatic High Beams, and many more.

Moving to the front hood, all types of Glolla GR come with a G16E-GTS 1.6 liter turbo 3-cylinder engine that can pump up to 300 hp and a 400 Nm warhead or larger than the previous version.

For the first time, GR Corolla is now here with automatic transmission. Toyota claims the system is designed to be very intelligent and can adjust dental changes to the driver's driving style.

Another improvement for the Japanese market is in the 'Sport Package' and 'Circuit Mode'. Sport Package is a choice of a manufacturer package that includes a more sporty and quality interior, such as a special semi-bucket seat.

Meanwhile, Circuit Mode provides a service that activates the function to issue potential cars, such as adding anti-lag controls and increasing the rev-limit to be tested on circuits.

The manufacturer has opened an order for the Glolla facelift on February 4 and will be officially sold in Sakura on March 3.
