Optimistic To Win 3 Points, Arema Ready To Anticipate The Front Line Of PSM Makassar
Arema FC will host PSM Makassar at Soepriadi Stadium, Blitar City, East Java in Liga 1 for the 2024/2025 season. In the match which will take place on Monday 10 February, the Singo Edan team is optimistic that it will reach three points.
Arema FC coach Jose Manuel Gomes da Silva in a press conference session in Blitar City on Sunday, said the players from the team nicknamed Singo Edan were sure to be ready to play a fierce match against PSM.
"We made preparations for the match against PSM for about a week and everything went well. The player (Arema FC) will try hard to win," said Ze Gomes, his nickname quoting ANTARA, February 9.
Ze Gomes stated that in the preparation period, the coaching team had conducted an analysis to map the strengths possessed by the visitors.
According to him, the main strength of PSM Makassar is located in the attacking sector.
He also instructed the players who will be played in tomorrow's match to stay focused and appear solid in guarding the Arema FC defense area.

"The Makassar PSM has a good forward, so we also do a lot of training about it (anticipating PSM attacks). In essence, we are preparing to compete tomorrow," said the Portuguese coach.
Meanwhile, Arema FC footballer Lucas Frigeri said he and his teammates had the motivation to beat PSM Makassar, as well as continue the winning trend at home in the second round of Liga 1.
"We have made several preparations to be able to perform optimally against PSM," said the 35-year-old Brazilian citizen.
The goalkeeper, who has been in the Madura United club uniform in Liga 1 for the 2023/2024 season, is optimistic that the results of tomorrow's match will be in favor of Arema FC.
"Of course we can get three points," he said.
Arema FC is currently 9th in the Liga 1 ranking table for the 2024-2025 season by winning 31 points, from the results of nine wins, four draws, and eight defeats.
Meanwhile, PSM Makassar is right under Arema FC with 31 points as well, from the results of seven wins, 10 draws, and four defeats.
Both Arema FC and PSM Makassar both have a chance of experiencing an increase in ranking on the board of the standings, if they are able to win the match held at the Soepriadi Stadium.
