BENGKULU - Bengkulu City Health Office, Bengkulu Province revealed reports of tuberculosis (TBC) in the area. During January, 94 cases were recorded in the community.
"It is true, 94 cases (infected residents) of TB were found during January 2025," said Bengkulu City Health Office Head Joni Haryadi Thabrani in Bengkulu, quoting ANTARA on Sunday 9 February.
With the findings of the TB case, he appealed to the patient's family to continue to support discipline in taking drugs given by the government.
TB patients are required to take regular medication, because adherence to therapy is very important to ensure healing and prevent further disease spread.
The Bengkulu City Health Office appealed to people who experience TB symptoms, such as prolonged cough and weight loss, to immediately check at the nearest health center.
Because, when residents are infected with TB, when coughing at hot temperatures accompanied by strong winds can be carried away by the wind and spread to other communities.

In addition, TB patients always use masks so as not to disseminate the virus to other communities.
Joni said the Bengkulu City Health Office also continues to conduct socialization and counseling in order to increase public awareness to minimize the spread of tuberculosis in the area.
He reminded the public to continue to maintain their immune system by continuing to exercise and consuming nutritious food to avoid the spread of tuberculosis (TBC).
One of them is to pay attention to air circulation in their respective homes and not to let sunlight not enter.
This is because the TB virus quickly reproduces or is happy in humid and lack of sunlight, and is diligent in consuming healthy foods, such as vegetables and fruit so that the body's immune system increases.
