Study: AI Develops Rapidly In Asia, But Accuracy And Availability Are Still Challenges
JAKARTA - The latest study from Hitachi Vantara, which was made based on a survey of 1,200 respondents globally, including 325 in India, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, revealed that 42 percent of organizations in Asia consider AI to be a crucial factor.
Some markets are even more prominent, with China and Singapore at the top of the list globally with 53 percent and 57 percent, respectively, who think that AI is now important to their organizational operations.
However, companies in Asia think that their AI only provides the correct answer of around 32 percent, and the data they need is only about 34 percent available.
In addition, the company also said that only 30 percent of the data was considered structured, suggesting that most of the information that entered the AI system was messy and not refined.
With this fact, Hitachi Vantara sees that the limited quality and availability of data may hinder AI's initiative in achieving the breakthroughs that leaders expect.
