ATR/BPN Building Fire Allegedly Due To Short Circuit Computer
JAKARTA - The fire at the ATR/BPN Ministry building, Sisingamangaraja Street, Selong Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, was successfully extinguished on Sunday, February 9 at around 01.11 WIB.
"The alleged cause is due to a Computer Short Circuit. There were no casualties or injuries in this fire," Head of the South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syamsul Huda when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, February 9.
Based on the information gathered, the flames began to appear from the public relations room on the ground floor.
"Securities handled the initial fire with APAR. However, the fire had burned archival papers on the table to produce thick smoke," he said.
Then security reported to the fire department to ask for help in extinguishing the fire.
"The object caught fire at the BPN building. This morning, the blackout situation was declared over," he said.

The process of extinguishing the fire was carried out by 21 fire engines with 62 personnel deployed.
"The area of the burned area is 8 x 6 meters in size with an area of 48 square meters," he said.
Meanwhile, the total loss due to the fire was IDR 448,656,000. Meanwhile, the fire case is still under investigation by the South Jakarta Metro Police.
