Proliga 2025: Popsivo Polwan Qualifies Final Four

BANDUNG Jakarta Popsivo Polwan confirmed that he would become the first women's team to qualify for the final round of four of the 2025 Proliga competition after defeating the host Bandung bjb Tandamata in the latest match.

Popsivo managed to keep their slick record this season with a 3-1 victory (21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-19) over the hosts at the Jalak Harupat Sports Center (GOR), Bandung, West Java, on Friday, February 7, 2025 evening WIB.

In this duel, Gerardo Daglio's men were forced to rise from the first set to win their eighth game of the season.

Bandung bjb, which was supported by thousands of supporters, kicked off in the first set with four consecutive points. Arsela Nuari and her friends had time to stick to the final points, but in the end they still lost in that set.

At the beginning of the second set the situation turned around and Popsivo Polwan managed to lead with a score of 5-1. However, they could not comfortably control the streets of the match because Bandung could put pressure on them.

The third set of duels took place even more interesting after Popsivo equalized the score. The pursuit of numbers came from the start, but Popsivo was finally able to stem the hosts' ambition to take the lead again.

The start of the fourth set was also tough, but Bandung's attempt to force the full set match finally failed. In this set, the hosts are recorded to only have a two-time lead over their opponents.

This victory made Popsivo, who won the first round, keep the record unbeaten. They sat comfortably at the top of the standings with a collection of 22 points.

On the other hand, this result makes the opportunity for Bandung bjb Tandamata to qualify for the final four even more difficult. Of the seven matches that have been played, the team made by Samsul Jais was only able to win twice.

Having suffered five defeats, Bandung is now in sixth position in the standings. They only collected six points.
