Collaborating With Nexus RMSC, Komnas HAM Holds Social Media Training To Susun Communication Strategy
JAKARTA Komnas HAM considers the need for an appropriate management strategy in order to get attention from the public and it would be better if it became an example for other institutions. Therefore, Komnas HAM emphasizes the importance of social media as the main means of communication in conveying messages, building public trust, and strengthening the image of institutions.
Realizing the importance of strategic social media management, Komnas HAM invited Nexus Risk Mitigation & Strategic Communication (RMSC) in a training entitled Social Media Engagement: Effective Strategy for Komnas HAM 2025.
Present as speakers in this training were Dudy S. Takdir, Nexus Strategic Partner, and Rizkha Al Zahra, Strategic Communication Specialist Nexus. Both share deep insights into the importance of meaningful interactions on social media as well as techniques to increase the involvement of audiences organically.
"The presence of public institutions on social media is not just a formality, but must be part of a wider communication ecosystem," explained Nexus Strategic Partner Tubagus Dudy, Thursday, January 30 at the Komnas HAM Office, Jakarta.
In line with that, Rizkha Al Zahra, highlighted the importance of content that has high appeal and involvement.
"In the digital era, involvement on social media is not only about talking, but also listening. Komnas HAM must be present as an open dialogue space, become a trusted voice, make social media a bridge between policies and society," said Rizkha.
Rizkha also emphasized that the key to engagement is strong storytelling, active interaction, and understanding of the growing social dynamics, engagement is not just the number of likes or comments, but how a message can build connections and encourage action.

In the discussion session, Dudy and Rizkha emphasized, it is important for Komnas HAM not only to present one-way content, but to build dynamic interactions with the public.
The designed pillar content must consider the needs of the audience, the latest trends, and responses to the growing human rights issue. For example, utilizing storytelling formats for human rights cases in narratives that are easy to digest or use visualization data interestingly," he said.
On the same occasion, Deputy Head of External Affairs Abdul Haris Semendawa said that with a data-based strategy, Komnas HAM hopes to optimize its social media as a communication space that is not only informative, but also builds public involvement.
