The Unlawful Killing Case Entered The Filing Stage, The Suspect Can Still Be Examined
JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the investigation process in the unlawful killing case of the four Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) troops with three suspects was almost complete. This case is in the filing stage.
"It's in the filing process," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Tuesday, April 20.
Although the progress of the case has already entered the file preparation stage, the investigation stage of the suspects seems closed.
Rusdi emphasized that the pekara which is already in the filing stage does not mean that the suspects cannot be questioned again. Because as long as the AGO has not stated the complete case files, they may still undergo examination.
"It is still possible for the examination, if it is P21 from the prosecutor, then it will be declared that the investigation is complete," he said.
Previously, three members of the Polda Metro Jaya were named suspects in the case of the unlawful killing of the FPI paramilitary shooting. This determination was based on the Police Report (LP) model A after receiving a recommendation from Komnas HAM.
However, one of the three suspects with the initials EPZ died. He was involved in a single accident.
This unlawful killing case is the second in a series of cases of clashes between members of the police and six soldiers of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
The police at that time were forced to shoot four members of the FPI laskar. But the shooting was allegedly considered an unlawful killing because the police did not make other efforts to avoid the loss of life.
