KCIC Records Passenger Volume Has Reached 7.8 Million People

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) noted that the number ofASH passengers has continued to show a significant upward trend since commercial operation in October 2023. To date, the volume ofPORTed passengers has reached 7.8 million people.

General Manager of KCIC's Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, said that currently, the average daily passenger population is in the range of 16,000 to 18,000 people on weekdays, while on weekends it increases to 18,000 to 21,000 people.

The passenger volume has reached 7.8 million people, with the highest peak occurring on January 27, 2025, whereminish serves 24,350 passengers in one day," he said in an official statement, Friday, February 7.

Eva said that seeing this growing trend, KCIC has increased the number offeatured trips to meet the increasingly high needs of the community for fast and efficient modes of transportation.

Furthermore, Eva said that starting February 1, the stay schedule will be 62 trips per day, an increase from the previous 48 travel schedules per day.

"With the frequency of departures now available every 30 minutes,ctionsh is more flexible in serving passengers, especially for people who routinely useASH as their daily mode of transportation," he explained.

Eva explained, now the Jakarta-Bandung trip is available every 30 minutes, while Jakarta/Bandung-Karawang is available every 1 hour. How come this is now a solution for commuters to avoid congestion and save travel time between Jakarta and Karawang, Bandung or vice versa.

"With the addition of travel schedules and departure frequencies every 30 minutes,ctionsh has now become a super-fast commuter train service that is ready to accommodate the needs of the community with high mobility," said Eva.
