Thursday, JCI Opened Up 0.20 Percent To 4,635.83 Levels

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened higher on Thursday, April 9 trading. JCI opened higher by 0.20 percent or 9.13 points to the level of 4,635.83.

Opening trading, there were 42 stocks rose, 19 stocks fell, and 20 stocks were stagnant. Trading volume was recorded at 10.60 million shares, and transacted for Rp3.01 billion.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst M. Nafan Aji Gusta Utama predicts that the JCI will decline today. "This indicates a further correction in the JCI movement so that it has the opportunity to go to the support area," he said.

Based on technical analysis, the first and second support areas for JCI today have a range at 4,529 and 4,397 levels. Meanwhile, the first and second resistance areas have a range at 4,697 to 4,883.

This morning, stocks that were among the top gainers included, PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA) which rose 7.53 percent to Rp100, PT Medco Energi International Tbk (MEDC) which gained 5.96 percent to Rp.498, and PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA) which strengthened 3.88 percent to IDR214.

Meanwhile, stocks that are in the top losers include PT Envy Technologies Indonesia Tbk (ENVY) which fell 6.45 percent to IDR87, PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk (WEGE) which fell 5.18 percent to IDR183, and PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO), which fell 4.69 percent to Rp1,015.
