Viral Drug Dealers Give Rp160 Million Tribute, North Sumatra Police Check Head And Head Of Labuhanbatu Police
Viral on social media, a drug defendant who claimed to have given money to Labuhanbatu Police officials as a tribute to smooth his business as a drug dealer before he was arrested.
In the aftermath of the viral video @Heraloebss, the confession of the drug dealer, Kasat to the Labuhanbatu Police drug scene was examined by the North Sumatra Police Propam (North Sumatra Police).
The viral video footage on social media shows a man named Endar Muda Siregar who is a defendant in a narcotics case claiming that he has given some money to the police.
The video of the defendant Endar was allegedly taken while in a detention cell at the Rantauprapat District Court after undergoing trial, some time ago.
In the statement, the defendant Endar Muda Siregar alias Endar claimed that he gave money to a police official with details of Rp 80 million for Kasat, Rp 20 million for the kanit, and Rp 8 million for the team.
Endar also admitted that the tribute money was handed over directly to an officer with the initials R on the 10th of each month.
"I pay at the Labuhanbatu Police Headquarters amounting to Rp 160 million each month, which is Rp 80 (million) for Kasat, the category is the head of the class, only for the right Rp 20 million, for the team Rp 8 million per month. Handed over directly every month, every 10th," said the defendant Endar in the video.
"I am ready to be examined. If the evidence is the cash I gave to Riswan Siregar's brother," he continued.
Even in the viral video, Endar also asked President Prabowo and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to investigate the involvement of the police in the alleged receipt of the money and the North Sumatra Police Propam to investigate it.
"(Hopefully) all the officers involved with me will immediately be examined. I am also ready to be examined," said Endar.
After the viral video emerged, North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Wisnu Hermawan Februanto ordered the Propam Division to conduct an examination related to the viral video allegedly involving the police personnel.
Wisnu said that until now the North Sumatra Police Propam had examined the Kasat and the Labuhanbatu Police Narcotics Unit regarding the viral video. Wisnu also emphasized that if its members were proven to have received the tribute, he would take firm action against the members.
"I have sent the Propam Bid to check, it's easy if it's true I process my members without mercy, but if it's not true I say it's not true, so leave it to Bid Propam to check regarding the viral video," said Wishnu, Thursday 6 February.

It is known that the defendant Endar Muda Siregar was a drug dealer who was arrested on May 7, 2024. Endar himself was arrested by the Labuhanbatu Police Narcotics Unit officers and confiscated evidence of drugs and some money.
