Asik, The Government Officially Sets ASN To Work For 3 Days At The Office

JAKARTA - The State Civil Service Agency (BKN) has officially issued a new policy that allows every Civil Servant (PNS) or ASN to work for three days in the office. The rest, civil servants can work from anywhere (Work From Anywhere/WFA).

The head of BKN, Zudan Arifin, confirmed this policy and emphasized that this was part of an effort to support budget efficiency, in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 which discussed spending efficiency in the implementation of the APBN and APBD for Fiscal Year 2025.

Zudan Arifin explained that this policy aims to create a more modern and efficient bureaucracy. With this work flexibility, it is hoped that public services can be faster and more optimal thanks to the increasingly advanced implementation of digitalization.

"This budget efficiency opens up opportunities for ASN to implement a more modern work system, as well as maximize bureaucratic digitization," Zudan said in uploading the BKN social media account @bkngoid on Thursday, February 6.

Zudan also hopes that all ASN in Indonesia can respond positively to this policy and make it an opportunity to improve the quality of performance and service to the community.

Here are 10 New Policies for BKN that will be implemented:

The elimination of flexible working hours. Implementation of an efficient work scheme, with WFA for 2 days and WFO for 3 days.

Ensuring the daily performance of subordinates with concrete reporting. Restrictions on domestic and foreign official travel.

Maximize responsive coordination through online media.Efficiency in the use of electricity and energy. Adjustment of work clothes that prioritize comfort.

Effective use of the budget.

Optimizing cooperation with external partners while maintaining the principles of good governance.

The Regional Office ensures complete personnel consultations in each working area.

With this policy, the government hopes that ASN can be more adaptive to changes and increase the effectiveness of the bureaucracy through digitization and work efficiency.
