Allegedly Violating Rules, Minister Of Environment Orders MNC Project In Lido Bogor To Be Stopped And Sealed
BOGOR Minister of Environment and Head of the Environmental Management Agency (BPLH), Hanif Faisol Nurrofiq, ordered the Deputy for Law Enforcement (Gakkum) to seal and stop the construction of the Lido Special Economic Zone (KEK), Bogor Regency.
This decision was taken after the Gakkum Environmental Supervisory Team carried out field verification and found a violation.
Previously, on February 1, 2025, Minister Hanif Faisol Nurrofiq conducted a surprise inspection of the Lido SEZ after receiving public complaints regarding the silting of Lake Lido.
The silting and narrowing of the lake is thought to have been caused by land clearing activities at the Lido SEZ.
"PT MNC Land Lido is indicated not to manage the rainwaterway well, thus having an impact on the lake ecosystem," said Hanif in his statement, Thursday, February 6.
He said, as a follow-up, the environmental control team had sealed and installed a board for stopping activities at the location.
