AGO Arrests Last Fugitive In Tom Lembong Sugar Corruption Case
The Attorney General's Office (AGO) arrested Ali Sandjaja Boedidarmo (ASB), President Director of PT Kebun Tebu Mas. He is a fugitive in the alleged corruption case of sugar imports at the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) from 2015 to 2016.
"(The suspect arrested) ABS as the President Director of PT KTM," said the Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar, when confirmed, Wednesday, January 5.
It has not been clearly explained about the location and chronology of the arrest of Ali Sandjaja Boedidarmo. It is only stated that the arrest of the President Director of PT KTM was banned from leaving the country.
Ali Sandjaja Boedidarmo was a fugitive with Hendrgianto Antonio Tiwon or HAT, President Director of PT Duta Sugar Internasional (PT DSI). They became fugitives because they were not present at the summons for examination until they were finally named as suspects.
Hendrogianto Antonio Tiwon or HAT is known to have been arrested first at Pangkalanbuun, Central Kalimantan around January 2025. Then followed by the arrest of Ali Sandjaja Boedidarmo.
Ali Sandjaja Boedidarmo is one of the nine private parties named as suspects. They include Tonny Wijaya NG (TW) as President Director of PT Angels Products (PT AP) for the 2015-2016 period; Wisnu Hendraningrat (WN) as President Director of PT Andalan Furnindo for the 2011-2024 period.
