Airlangga Says His Office Is Efficiency In The 52.5 Percent Budget

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed that his ministry also carried out budget efficiency with a reduction of 52.5 percent.

Airlangga conveyed that the budget efficiency aims to demonstrate the government's commitment to optimizing the use of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

"To show the symbol that we are cut off, our lights are turned off. So that journalists can feel it, otherwise journalists will not feel it," Airlangga said at a press conference, Wednesday, February 5.

To note, the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy has made budget efficiency of around 52.5 percent or around Rp. 241.79 billion from the budget ceiling of Rp. 459.76 billion.

Although the budget is cut significantly, Airlangga ensures that this cut will not affect the achievements that his ministry wants to achieve.

"We will optimize so that this budget cut does not have an effect on what will be achieved," he added.

Previously, the Government decided to efficiency the Ministry/Institutional Budget (K/L) for the 2025 fiscal year. The policy is contained in presidential instruction (Inpres) number 1 of 2025 concerning Expenditure Efficiency in the Implementation of the State Budget and Regional Budget for the 2025 fiscal year amounting to IDR 306.69 trillion.

The efficiency budget consists of a K/L budget of IDR 256.10 trillion, and a TKD of IDR 50.59 trillion.

In line with the President's direction, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati issued a Letter of the Minister of Finance Number S-37/MK.02/2025.

Where instructing the Minister/Leaders of Institutions to identify the K/L spending efficiency plan. This efficiency plan includes operational and non-operational expenditures throughout the K/L.

Referring to the attachment, there are at least 16 items that need efficiency, namely Office Writing Tool (ATK) with 90 percent efficiency. Printing and Souvenir with 75.9 percent efficiency.

As well as Rental Buildings, Vehicles and Equipment with 73.3 percent efficiency.

Then, other expenditures with an efficiency of 59.1 percent. Ceremonial activities with an efficiency of 56.9 percent. Official travel with an efficiency of 53.9 percent. Study and Analysis with an efficiency of 51.5 percent.

Furthermore, Consultant Services with 45.7 percent efficiency. Meetings, Seminars and the like with 45 percent efficiency. Honor Output of Activities and Services Profession with 40 percent efficiency.

Next, Infrastructure with budget efficiency reached 34.3 percent. Diklat and Bimtek, with an efficiency of 29.0 percent. Equipment and Machinery, with an efficiency of 28 percent of Applicable Licenses, with an efficiency of 21.6 percent. Government assistance, with 16.7 percent efficiency. Maintenance and maintenance, with an efficiency of 10.2 percent.
