Kia Reports Cars Interested In The US, Successfully Selling 50,000 Units During January 2025

JAKARTA - Kia opened a new leaf in 2025 with a positive achievement. The automotive manufacturer from South Korea received sales of 57,007 units in January or the highest in the history of that month.

Thus, the brand received an increase of 12 percent compared to last year's achievement in the same period.

Kia America Vice President Sales Operations Eric Watson said this result could not be separated from the increasing demand for a rising SUV and selling sales from the ICE, Hybrid, Plug-In Hybrid, and EV segments.

"Kia started this year with a record sales marked by double-digit growth and aimed at reaching new levels in the US with the ranks of innovative ICE vehicles, hybrid, plug-in-hybrids, and our all-electricity," Watson said.

Another interesting thing, the best-selling model is not from the SUV vehicle segment but from K4 which is in the sedan market. Models with other names fueled' in some markets managed to sell as many as 11,616 units during January 2025.

This was followed by an SUV Sportage model with a total of 11,357 units. Then, this was followed by another SUV, namely Telluride as many as 8,771 units and Sorento managed to sell up to 6,871 units.

Complementing the list of the top five Kia best-selling vehicles during January 2025, there was a K5 model that contributed a total of 4,357 units and Carnival with 3,665 units.

From the pure electric vehicle segment, the EV6 model became a product of interest earlier this year by recording 1,542 units and followed by EV9 totaling 1,232 units.
