Launching information on his auction house, Wednesday, February 5, this Ferrari 250 LM is not just a car. In addition to being the champion of Le Mans 1965 under the control of well-known racers Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt, this car also recorded history as the only Ferrari owned by a private team that has won the world's most prestigious endurance race. Even more specifically, this car is the only Ferrari made in the era of Enzo Ferrari (1947-1988) to compete in six 24-hour races, including three times in Le Mans and three times in 24 Hours.

The car number 262 has a long and brilliant history. After winning Le Mans, this car was exhibited by Luigi Chinetti Motors/NART at the 1967 New York Automobile Show. Over the past 54 years, the car has been carefully cared for by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) Museum, after being purchased directly from Chinetti Motors in 1970.

The condition of this car is fairly well maintained and original, including the engine and gearbox which still fits the number. The completeness of the documents is no less special, including copies of Le Mans documents in 1965, 1968, and 1969, ownership documents from Luigi Chinetti, 1970 purchase documents, spare parts and service invoices, as well as historical reports from Marcel Massini.

Of the 32 units 250 LM has ever been made, this car is the sixth unit, and most importantly given its brilliant racing history. This auction will be a golden opportunity for collectors to have an invaluable automotive masterpiece.

This auction will be held this Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in Paris, France local time. Interesting to wait, will anyone dare to break the record for the auction price of a classic car?
