Support Free Health Checks, DPR: Registration Through One Healthy Application Should Not Be Difficult For The Community
JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX DPR RI, Neng Eem Marhamah fully supports the Government's free health check program. However, he reminded that registration for free health checks through the One Healthy Mobile application should not make it difficult for the public.
"We appreciate the plan to carry out free health checks from the government which will be carried out starting this month. It's just that we remind that registration through the OneSehat application does not make it difficult for the public because so far there have been complaints about the use of the application," said Neng Eem, Wednesday, February 5.
According to Neng Eem, so far the OneSehat Mobile application has often experienced verification problems during account activity to failure to download vaccination certificates during COVID-19. Some of these obstacles made many people reluctant to apply One Healthy Mobile because they could not register an account.
"Many people do not register an account because the name data does not match the ID card data, or the phone number cannot be used to register because they have been registered with One Sehat Mobile," he said.
Neng Eem appealed that free health checks must cover all disease checks at every age level. To support the free health check program, according to him, health workers involved in this program must be competent and have adequate equipment.
"Free checks must be easily accessed by the public," said Neng Eem.
The PKB legislator also asked the free health check program to have a referral for continuous examination if chronic disease examinations were found. Neng Eem said that health screening is important because it can help people to maintain health, detect disease early, and reduce the risk of death.
"This program is expected to increase public awareness of the importance of early detection of diseases and a healthy lifestyle," he said.
"Free health screening is carried out to increase public awareness about the importance of health," concluded Neng Eem.
To note, the Government through the Ministry of Health has prepared 10,000 public health centers (puskesmas) and 20,000 private clinics for free health checks starting February 2025. This free health check applies to newborns (aged two days), toddlers and toddlers (age 1-6 years old), adults (age 18-59 years old), elderly or elderly (age 60 years old).
