Follow The President's Instructions, Komdigi Pangkas Budget Ministry 58.17 Percent

JAKARTA - In accordance with Presidential Instruction Prabowo Subianto, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is making efficiency by cutting the Ministry's budget of IDR 4.49 trillion from the initial ceiling of the budget of IDR 7.73 trillion.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Digi, Ismail, said that this efficiency was carried out after Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025, as well as (Order) of the Minister of Finance Number S-37 regarding the efficiency of spending on ministries and state expenditures in the 2025 State Budget.

In a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission I of the DPR RI, he explained, after completing the mapping of the program in accordance with the efficiency instructions, the Ministry of Komdigi cut the budget by 58.17 percent.

"The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has experienced budget adjustments with a total efficiency of IDR 4.49 trillion or 58.17 percent of the 2025 budget allocation ceiling. So that the total budget that can be used in 2025 is only IDR 3.2 trillion," explained Ismail.

As a concrete step, the Ministry of Komdigi will re-prioritize programs and budgets, ensuring that programs that directly touch the public interest continue to run optimally.

Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid also explained that this efficiency is not just a cut in spending, but an effort to find new partnership patterns, optimize cooperation, and increase the effectiveness of program implementation.

"Efficiency does not mean stagnation. We don't just cut numbers, but design new strategies so that digitalization still has a direct impact on society," he said.
