Ahead Of Ramadan, Bulog Rice Stock Reaches 1.95 Million Tons

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog reported the readiness of the government's rice reserves (CBP) ahead of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2025. Currently, Bulog's rice stock reaches 1,947,778 or 1.95 million tons as of February 4.

President Director of Perum Bulog Wahyu Suparyono said the stock was spread across Bulog's warehouses in Indonesia.

"In general, the government's reserve rice commodity is 1.947 million," he said during a working meeting with Commission IV of the DPR, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 4.

Based on Bulog's presentation material, the largest stock in East Java reached 458,156 tons. Followed by Jakarta and Banten 322,909 tons. Then, South Sulawesi-West Sulawesi 233,296 tons.

Stock is also spread in West Java 227,589 tons. Then, Central Java 125,736 tons. Then, DIY as much as 73,977 tons. Furthermore, Aceh as much as 31,723 tons and Bengkulu as much as 6,037 tons. Meanwhile in Papua it reached 37,748 tons.

Apart from rice, Wahyu also revealed other food stocks. He said the flour stock reached 117 tons. Then, 5,199 kiloliters of cooking oil (kl).

"Sand sugar 13,612 tons, 5 tons of eggs, 54,955 tons of PSO corn and 18,226 tons of commercial corn," he said.

Wahyu also said that the total domestic rice procurement reached 18,359 tons as of February 3. This figure is quite far from the absorption target until April it reached 3 million tons.

The amount consists of absorption in January 14,489 tons equivalent to rice and absorption in February 3,870 tons equivalent to rice.

"The realization of domestic procurement (rice) until February 3, 2025 reached 18.3 thousand tons," said Wahyu.
