Samsung Galaxy G Fold: Threefold Phone With 10 Inci Screen
JAKARTA - Samsung is reportedly preparing its newest triplet device which is likely to be named "Galaxy G Fold." This naming decision is quite confusing, considering that Samsung already has a Galaxy Z series for its folding phone line.
It's no secret that Samsung is developing a foldable phone with a larger screen. This "tri-fold" device is expected to have a similar concept to the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, which can be opened like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but has one additional segment that can be folded to expand the screen size.
In the latest Unpacked event, Samsung had teased the public with this device, calling it a "multi-fold." However, according to a report from Lanzuk on Naver, Samsung's triple foldable phone will not be included in the Galaxy Z series, but given the name "Galaxy G Fold."

The reason behind this naming scheme is still unclear, especially because the letter "Z" in Samsung's folding phone line seems to be suitable for devices with the concept of triple folding. However, the main difference from the Galaxy G Fold compared to other foldable devices is its unique folding mechanism. If the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate opens the screen at a certain order, the Galaxy G Fold is said to be open from both sides simultaneously.
The device is rumored to be introduced later this year, before it finally officially launches in early 2026. The Galaxy G Fold screen is said to have a size of 9.96 inches when it is fully open, with a height of about 6.54 inches. In addition, this device is also predicted to be thicker than Huawei's foldable phone.
With this innovation, Samsung is trying to bring a wider screen experience in the form of a device that remains portable. However, there are still many unanswered questions, including further specifications and official prices from the Galaxy G Fold. We are waiting for an official announcement from Samsung in the coming months.
