2 Police Suspects Of Extortion Of Reemaja In Semarang Immediately Tried Code Of Ethics
The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Artanto, said that the alleged extortion case involving two members of the Semarang Polrestabes was the attention of the Central Java Police to be resolved.
"Because this is the attention of the leadership, the professional code of ethics trial will be held as soon as possible," said Artanto as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 4.
According to him, the two police officers, respectively Aiptu K and Aipda RL are currently being held at the Central Java Regional Police.
The process of violating the code of ethics of the two, he said, was handled by the Propam Division of the Central Java Police.
The two police officers are currently also difficult to determine as suspects in the alleged extortion case which is currently being handled by the Semarang Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
Previously, two policemen together with a civilian with the initials S were suspected of extorting the victims of MRW (18), a resident of Ngaliyan and MMX (17) North Semarang.
The incident began when two policemen who had been released from service and civilians who were also friends went to find food in the Marina Beach area of Semarang.
The perpetrators saw the two victims in a car in the area and were then approached.
The perpetrators frightened the two of them on charges of committing a criminal act and then asked for some money not to be legally processed.
The victim is said to have agreed and gave Rp2.5 million.
