Reveals The Original Price Of Elpiji 3 Kg, Bahlil: It Should Only Be IDR 15,000

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia conducted an inspection of one of the 3 kg LPG agents in Palmerah, West Jakarta.

During the inspection, Bahlil said that his party had changed the rules that stipulated that retailers could sell 3 kg LPG and change their status to a sub base.

This, he said, is an arrangement for the process of selling subsidized LPGs. According to him, the LPG subsidy budgeted by the government reached IDR 87 trillion.

"The price at the community level should be no more than Rp. 5,000 per kilogram. This means that one tube should only be Rp. 15,000. Because the state subsidy per tube is Rp. 36,000," said Bahlil, Tuesday, February 4.

Meanwhile, based on the reports received, Bahlil said the selling price in the community reached Rp. 26,000 so that the government was aggressively making arrangements by requiring purchases through official bases.

He added that before setting retailers into sub bases, Pertamina could not control the purchase of gas through retailers because the seller set its own price.

"The new agent to the base is Rp. 16,000, up to retailers it should be Rp. 19,000 maximum. But if it's Rp. 26,000, it means something is wrong. That's what was wrong then what we made so we wouldn't be wrong," said Bahlil.

Bahlil said, later this sub-division will be equipped with IT facilities such as the Pertamina Merchant Application (MAP) application which will be used to record 3 kg LPG users. This application, said Bahlil, will record buyer data, the number of gas cylinders purchased along with prices so that subsidy distribution can really be controlled.

"So starting today, retailers throughout Indonesia, under the name sub-basement. Later Pertamina and ESDM will equip them with an application system and their process into sub-basement is not subject to any fees, we will even proactively register them as a formal part so that they can become MSMEs," said Bahlil.
