Flood Victims In Bima NTB Increase To 860 People, Some Still Stay At Home
The number of victims affected by flash floods in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) increased from 99 people to 860 residents.
Head of the Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Abdul Muhari said, of these, 60 people fled to safe places such as family homes or relatives while the rest chose to stay in their respective homes.
Quoting Antara, Tuesday, February 4, BNPB confirmed that the fulfillment of logistics for basic necessities for 860 affected victims, consisting of 305 families, remains a priority for the government.
According to Abdul, the distribution of logistical assistance for basic necessities such as food has begun to be distributed to the victims, the majority of whom survived, occupying their respective homes in Wera and Ambalawi sub-districts, Bima Regency.
BNPB appreciates the quick steps taken by the Bima Regency Government which stipulates an extension of the hydrometeorological disaster emergency response status for 14 days and is active from today until February 17.
