Antonio Rudiger May Be Absent In The Champions League When Real Madrid Meets Manchester City

Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rudiger has been diagnosed with a leg muscle injury he suffered in the La Liga match on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Rudiger will be out for two to three weeks, meaning he will miss the game against Leganes in the Copa del Rey (6/2/2025), Derby Madrid (9/2/2025), the first leg of the Champions League playoffs against Manchester City (12/2/2025), and La Liga matches against Osasuna (15/2/2025).

He is also expected to be in doubt for the second leg match against Manchester City on February 20, 2025 WIB.

Real Madrid said on Sunday, February 2, 2025 that Rudiger suffered an injury to a femoris bisep in his right leg after he had to be replaced in the 15th minute when Los Blancos lost 0-1 against Espanyol.

Los Blancos had previously lost Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao on the defense - while David Alaba had just returned from a long absence - with the transfer window to close on Monday, February 3, 2025 local time.

Real Madrid are currently one point ahead of Atletico Madrid in the 2024/2025 La Liga standings.
