14 People Killed In Terrorist Attacks In Syria

JAKARTA - 14 people were killed and 15 others injured in a terrorist attack in Manbij district, Aleppo, Syria on Monday.

A vehicle carrying a bomb exploded at the southern entrance of Manbij, which is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

Reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, February 3, the injured were taken to a nearby hospital, and there were fears the death toll would increase.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but local security said the attack was likely carried out by the PKK/YPG terrorist organization.

SNA released Manbij from terrorists in December 2024 as part of Operation Fajar Freedom.

In its 40-year terror attack against Turkey, PKK, which is registered as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the European Union, is responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, infants, and the elderly. YPG is a Syrian branch of the PKK.

Since the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, the terrorist group has been trying to take advantage of regional instability to create terror corridors along the border with Turkey.
