Meeting Banten Citizens Representatives, MUI Emphasizes Support For Stopping PSN Projects At PIK 2
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) met with several representatives of the Banten community including a spokesman for the Banten Sultanate to discuss the aspirations to terminate the National Strategic Project (PSN) at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2.
They visited the community representatives from Banten, supporting the results of the IV MUI National Working Conference (Mukernas) which requested the termination of PSN PIK 2.
"Essentially supporting what has been stated by the National Working Conference of the Indonesian Ulema Council, that PSN and PIK 2 should be canceled. The ulama, components of the nation, including components of the Banten community, in rhythm, are in line with what has been determined by the Mukernas of the Indonesian Ulema Council," said Member of the Tabayyun Team and MUI Advocacy regarding PSN PIK 2 as well as Chairman of the MUI for Studies, Research and Development, Debt of Ranuwijaya in Jakarta, Monday, February 3, confiscated by Antara.
MUI hopes, he continued, to President Prabowo Subianto and his staff to listen to these aspirations and process them because the project has many disadvantages.
His own party has appointed a small team that will formulate the results of meetings with various parties including community organizations, non-governmental organizations and various other parties that will be submitted to the President and Chairman of the DPR RI.
He himself has not been able to confirm when the formulation will be finalized to be submitted to the relevant parties.
"Hopefully it will be faster, but the date cannot be confirmed. What is important is our work, indeed work is very disciplined, because considering the importance of this issue is for the sake of state sovereignty," said Debt.
