Army Chief Of Staff Says Farmers' Results Managed By The Indonesian Army Can Be USED For MBG's Needs
JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak said all agricultural products from the management of sleeping land into rice fields and plantations carried out by its soldiers could be used to supply food needs for the free nutritious food program (MBG).
"Regarding that we are processing the rice fields, we will definitely dedicate it to the national nutritious program," Maruli said after holding a TNI leadership meeting (Rapim) at Balai Kartini, South Jakarta, Monday, February 3, which was confiscated by Antara.
According to Maruli, the MBG program not only benefits students because they get nutritious food, but also people who manage food security land that has been built by the TNI.
With the need for MBG, the market share of vegetables and fruit will be higher, so that the agricultural products from the processing carried out by the TNI will definitely run out.
This can be ascertained that Maruli will happen considering the number of children who must be fed by the government is around 82 people.
"If we build rice fields, someone must buy (the results of the tan). If we build a garden, we will definitely (some) buy it. If we farm chickens, there are eggs, there is this, someone must buy it. Because to demand that the kitchen eat this nutritious," said Maruli.
Therefore, Maruli appealed to the public not to be afraid that their tans would not sell well in the market. "So there must be a lot of markets. This motivates us to make more," said Maruli.
