Komang Ayu Is Not Satisfied With Being The Runner-up Of Thailand Masters 2025
JAKARTA The women's singles badminton player Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi was not satisfied with the runner-up results she got at Thailand Masters 2025 which were completed on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Komang returned with the title after losing three games 21-18, 16-21, and 13-21 against the host's women's singles, Pornpawee Chochuwong.
"I'm sure I'm happy to be back on the podium, but I'm not satisfied with the results. There are still many shortcomings that need to be improved again, especially in the second and third games, my condition has decreased," said Komang.
Komang previously missed last year without feeling the finals. He played his final at Nantes International Challenge in France in June 2023.
Last year Komang appeared in 11 BWF World Tour tournaments with his best journey was to reach the semifinals twice, namely at Madrid Spain Masters and Kaohsiung Masters.

"Compared to last year which was very difficult, this was a good thing for me. In this tournament, I really just looked for my best game again," said the badminton player who was born in Bali.
This is Komang's second tournament in this year's BWF World Tour calendar. He previously played his first tournament at the Indonesia Masters 2025 last week at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.
At that time, the 22-year-old badminton player immediately returned home in the first half after losing to Japan's women's singles, broken Sugiyama.
Komang is one of the four Indonesian representatives who are in the final of Thailand Masters 2025. However, only Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti came out as champions.
Apart from Komang, two other representatives who also had to settle for being runners-up were Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin.
