Prabowo Meeting Suddenly With The Minister Of Defense Bahas HPP Gabah Dry After MBG Inspection

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto held a sudden meeting with the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Minister of Agriculture (Menhan) Andi Amran Sulaiman. Both of them took the HPP of harvested dry unhulled rice.

This sudden meeting took place at the Ministry of Agriculture Complex (Kementan), Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta (Jaksel). The head of state was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya and Defense Minister Sjafrie arrived at the Jakarta Ministry of Agriculture Office at around 11.15 WIB, Monday 3 February.

"Indeed, suddenly, the President came to the Ministry of Agriculture. Earlier at the meeting with the TNI and agricultural extensions," said Head of the Public Relations and Information Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture Arief Cahyono when contacted, Monday, February 3, as quoted by Antara.

This meeting was held after the head of state carried out a surprise inspection of the implementation of Free Nutrition Food (MBG) in the Pulo Gadung area, East Jakarta, Monday, February 3 morning.

Areif explained that the President held a teleconference with farmers, agricultural extension workers, heads of provincial offices, the Rice and Rice Milling Entrepreneurs Association (Perpadi) and other related ranks at the Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters.

The President, said Arief, together with the Minister of Agriculture Amran discussed the Government Purchase Price (HPP) for harvest dry unhulled rice which must benefit all parties, including farmers, producers, entrepreneurs, and consumers.

"I am ready to issue a Government Regulation (PP). I am not playing games. This is a national problem. Entrepreneurs must be profitable, but not arbitrarily. All parties must win, ranging from producers, farmers, entrepreneurs, to consumers," said President Prabowo in an official statement received in Jakarta, Monday.

After holding a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, the President also visited the Office of the National Nutrition Agency, which is located in Building E, Ministry of Agriculture Complex.

"The president and accompanying officials then left the Ministry of Agriculture Complex at 12.53 WIB," said Arief.
