Arsenal Charged By FA For Myles Lewis-Skelly's Red Card Reaction
JAKARTA - Arsenal have been indicted by the FA on Friday, January 31, 2025, for failing to control their players when they reacted strongly to the red card received by Myles Lewis-Skelly against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
The FA said in a statement that Arsenal's players surrounded referee Michael Oliver and accused the team of not behaving appropriately.
Arsenal have until February 3, 2025 to respond to the FA's indictment.
The indictment comes days after the FA lifted a three-game Lewis-Skelly ban after Arsenal's appeal.

It was the third time this season a player has won an appeal against a red card in the Premier League, despite VAR operating as a safety net.
Lewis-Skelly was expelled for what Oliver and VAR saw as serious offenses after a misbehavior against defender Matt Doherty.
Oliver has since received a lot of abuse on social media, which led the police to open an investigation.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said after the game he was furious with Oliver's decision.
However, when asked about his reaction a few days later, he insisted that the club would not tolerate harassment against match officials.
Arsenal finally won the game 1-0 so they fell six points behind leaders in the English League Liverpool.
