How Long Will Magic Disappear? Read These Surahs To Prevent Them

YOGYAKARTA - The phenomenon of magic has always been a mystery and makes many people curious. Magic has been mentioned since ancient times which can be traced from classic folklore and fantasy films. Some people today still believe in magic and question how long magic will last?

People often associate magic with things that are considered supernatural or supernatural. In Islam itself, magic is something that is forbidden or included in syirical acts. Magic is interpreted as an act of deception or magic to be assisted by demons or genies.

Magic practices are carried out by means of witchcraft, mantra, or fire speech. So how long will magic be lost and how to prevent it based on Islamic teachings?

According to some ustaz's opinion, magic will not go away by itself. To completely remove its influence, it takes treatment and a procession of fire. One way is to do ruqyah, carry out certain practices, and read prayers of protection from magic.

It is said that the Prophet SAW was exposed to magic by a Jew named Labid bin Al 'Asham from Bani Zuraiq. As a result of this magic, the Prophet SAW experienced an illusion that did not really happen.

Then, Rasulullah SAW prayed to Allah SWT. In his dream, he saw two people talking about the magic disease. They said that the magic was stored in Zarwan well.

Aisyah RA witnessed the Prophet SAW coming to the well with several of his friends. The water inside the well was green like a leaf and there were pieces of hair that looked like the head of the devil. Aisyah RA suggested that the well be burned, but Rasulullah SAW chose to close it because Allah SWT had given him healing.

Rasulullah SAW also explained that the media used for the magic was a doll that resembled himself who was stabbed with eleven needles. To remove the influence of magic, Allah SWT lowered surah Al-Falaq as a healing prayer.

After reading the surah, Rasulullah SAW blew it into a glass of water and applied the water throughout his body. With Allah's permission, he recovered from the magic.

As Muslims, how to ward off magic can be done by practicing several surahs contained in the Qur'an. Quoted from moraref.kemenag.go.id, there are at least 30 surahs that are considered to have special virtues to fight magic.
