BYD Will Introduce Dolphin A Longer Version, Like What?
JAKARTA - One of the leading manufacturers from China, BYD plans to expand its electric vehicle line by immediately introducing the latest Dolphin. But this is not the latest generation, but rather a variant that is different from those sold in several markets.
Launching from CarNewsChina, Wednesday, January 29, the brand was caught on camera testing Dolphin with dimensions longer than the current version.
This latest Dolphin has a length of 4,280 mm, a width of 1,770 mm, and a height of 1,570 mm. However, the wheelbase owned by the car has not changed with the current version of 2,700 mm.
It is estimated that the car is an export version. This longer version of Dolphin is designed to ensure that it reaches five stars in the ACAP Euro and NCAP Australian collision tests. Because the dimensions change, the structure of the next part of the collision is redesigned.
In addition, there are several small style changes at the front and back of the existing car. Especially the front lights are now a little different.
The side did not experience any significant changes. However, at the back and the spatbor had some changes.

There are three new Dolphin versions that will be marketed later, namely 1,435 kg, 1480 kg, and 1,600 kg. This one will be available with a 70 kW, 130 kW, and 150 kW electric motor.
BYD Dolphin is expected to use the same battery pack as before, namely lithium-iron phosphate blast battery with a distance of 420 km or 520 km according to CLTC.
Although the launch date has yet to be announced, it is estimated BYD will introduce it in the next few months.
