Attorney Rizieq Shihab Will Prove There Is No Scenario Of The Megamendung Crowd
JAKARTA - Rizieq Shihab's lawyer, Sugito Atmo Prawiro, emphasized that there is no scenario or plan for the groundbreaking of the Markaz Syariah Islamic Boarding School in Megamendung, Bogor.

"We will confirm that the incident took place at the boarding school at the leadership at that time. There is no scenario for regular implementation. Everything is spontaneous," Sugito told reporters, Monday, April 19.
Sugito said that during the trial there had also been a statement from the panel of judges regarding the need for no permission to hold internal activities.
In fact, you have to get a permit if you hold a big event that invites parties from outside the boarding school.
"And earlier there was an affirmation from the judge. For internal events, no permission is needed. The permission is needed when inviting outside parties, because it is related to COVID-19," he said.
Rizieq Shihab was charged with failing to comply with the implementation of health quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rizieq Shihab continued to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Islamic Markaz Syariah Agro-Cultural Islamic Boarding School in Kuta Village, Megamengdung District, Bogor Regency.
"(The defendant) did not comply with the health quarantine administration as referred to in Article 9 paragraph (1) and / or obstructed the implementation of the Health Quarantine so that it was a public health emergency," said the prosecutor reading the dakwan.
Rizieq Shihab was charged with violating Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine in conjunction with Article 14 paragraph (1) of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases in conjunction with Article 216 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
