Synopsis Of Korean Film The Forbidden Fairytale: Park Ji Hyun Becomes Author Of Novel Erotics

JAKARTA - Director Lee Jong Seok is back with his latest film, The Forbidden Fairytale. This film is his latest work after The Negotiation in 2018.

This drama stars Choi Siwon and Park Ji Hyun and Sung Dong Il. This romantic comedy film takes a premise related to the adult world.

The Forbidden Fairytale tells the story of Dan Bi (Park Ji Hyun), an unemployed man who is finally accepted as a civil servant. On the other hand, he has a dream to become a fairy tale writer for children who is the work of his late father.

And Bi is determined to work as an employee but continues to carry out his dreams by participating in a fairy tale writing competition organized by one of the publishers.

When he arrived at the office, Dan Bi was surprised that he was assigned to the Youth Protection Team tasked with protecting teenagers from adult content. And Bi is also assigned to watch porn content every day to select which one cannot be shown.

And Bi is in the same division as Jung Seok (Choi Siwon), an employee who is looking forward to a position appointment. Jung Seok never gets a new position because his subordinates always leave the division for less than a month.

Dan Bi's presence makes Jung Seok want to stay so that he can get promoted if Dan Bi stays in his current position.

One day, Dan Bi hit Hwang (Sung Dong Il), the boss of the porn novel site who protested in front of Dan Bi's office. Hwang refused to have excessive censorship of his work because he considered the porn novel also a literary work.

Then Hwang asked Dan Bi to write a novel as compensation for the collision. Hwang who doesn't have a writer is amazed by the writing written by Dan Bi. Now, Dan Bi is doing two jobs, namely as a civil servant as well as an erotic novel writer who is in a dilemma.

The Forbidden Fairytale will premiere in Indonesian cinemas starting January 29, 2025.
