Hamas: Return Of Citizens To Northern Gaza Victory For Palestine
JAKARTA - The Hamas resistance movement said the return of Palestinian refugees to their homes in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday was a victory for the people and defeat for Israel with its expulsion plans.
"The return of those who fled was victory for our people and a statement on the failure and defeat of the occupation (Israel) as well as their evacuation plan," said senior leader Izzat al-Rishq in a statement quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, January 27.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians began returning to northern Gaza as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel andHamas which took effect on January 19, 2025.

The Israeli military says Palestinians are allowed to return on foot to northern Gaza via the Netzarim Corridor and Al-Roshid Street on the coast starting at 07.00 am local time (12.00 WIB).
The development comes after Qatar announced that Hamas agreed to release Israeli prisoner Arbel Badminton and two others on Friday this week.
Last weekend, Hamas released four Israeli female soldiers in exchange for the release of 200 Palestinian prisoners.
