JAKARTA - The Ministry of Law and Human Rights said the alleged blasphemy of Islam, Jozeph Paul Zhang, had been outside Indonesia's territory since 2018.
"Based on information from the immigration crossing database, Indonesian citizens on behalf of Shindy Paul Soerjomoeljono or as Joseph Paul Zhang last left Indonesia for Hong Kong on January 11, 2018," said Head of Public Relations and General Affairs of the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Arya Pradhana Anggakara. , reported by Antara, Monday, April 19.
Regarding Zhang's case, the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights has coordinated with the Indonesian Police's Criminal Investigation Agency to follow up.
Separately, the Deputy Chairperson of the PPP DPP, Arsul Sani, has asked the police to immediately take coordination steps with the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to revoke Zhang's passport whose real name is Sindy Paul Soerjomoeljono.
"The suspected perpetrator has been abroad since 2018. The steps to withdraw or revoke the passport can be carried out as regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 8/2014," said Sani.
