Prabowo: Holds DKI Johor An Erat Relationship With Malaysia

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto assessed that the title of the Darjah Kerabat Johor which was Highly Respected by the First Rank (DKI Johor) was a symbol of a close relationship between himself and Malaysia and the Sultanate of Johor.

"This is a symbol of the close relationship between myself and Malaysia, as well as myself and the family of the Sultanate of Johor," Prabowo said while giving a press statement after a bilateral meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the Petronas Twin Tower, Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Monday, January 27 reported by ANTARA.

Anwar Ibrahim said the honorary title received by President Prabowo had a higher level than Dato Sri's title. "Higher than Dato Sri," said Anwar.

President Prabowo also expressed his gratitude for the warm acceptance to him and the Indonesian delegation during a visit to the neighboring country.

Prabowo claimed to have a very close relationship with Malaysia, especially with Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XVII Sultan Ibrahim. The Head of State also felt like returning to his hometown while in Malaysia.

"Because I used to grow up in Malaysia, I went to school in Malaysia, my family in Malaysia," said Prabowo.

The Darjah Kerabat Johor award, which was founded on July 31, 1886, is one of the highest honors of the Johor Kingdom.

With the call "Mutafakat It's Thanks" (Concord is a Blessing), this award was given to Malay kings, royal close relatives, and foreign leaders who contributed to strengthening bilateral relations.
